Mixed Use Fit Out:
Workshop, Makers space and Education facility
The brief saw the transformation of the underused 1st floor of a coffee shop and cultural venue in Aldwych, close to the centre of the rags trade. The vision was to create a multi-disciplinary makers space for jewellers, seamstresses and carpenters offering a fully equipped workshop for rent on a short term basis and educational facility.
Working with a specialist joiner, the development of bespoke tables fit for purpose was created in collaboration with the client. The project saw the opening up of rooms to create a large space, overhaul of the electrical plan and upgrade to lighting and plumbing.
Realised in 3 months, the project saw a transformation to an underused space and creation of a facility that isn’t normally available to the creative community.
